There are new releases available of our 2D framework program XFrame2d (version 3.04) and 2D beam program XBeam2d (version 3.01)
The most important new features:
1. Elastic soil
This enables you to enter a elastic supported beam. The elastic soil is schematized as a number of spring that can support positive reactions only. The spring distance can adjusted with "Smoothing". The spring value of the spring will be calculated automatically.
2. Lateral torsional buckling - Lateral supports
For a steel beam you can now enter the lateral supports at the top flange and bottom flange separately.
3. Split into structural member sections for analysis
if nodes are found that lie on a beam, the beam by default is now automatically subdivided into sub beams.
