Your right to use XFEM4U, XFrame2D, XBeam2D, XConstruct, XSpreadsheets and the Word add-in is set out in our general terms and conditions: mainly in the chapter on using and maintaining software (articles 20 to 24), and in article 6 on intellectual property. The Dutch text governs.
What the terms allow
- 20.1A non-exclusive right to use the software, which means to load and run it, within the limits that were agreed.
- 20.2In your own business or organisation, on the processing unit and for the number and kind of users for which the right was granted. If nothing was agreed, that is the computer on which the software was first used.
- 20.3The right is not transferable. No selling, renting out or sublicensing, no processing for third parties (time-sharing), and no changes other than to correct errors. The source code is not included.
- 20.4When the right of use ends, you return or destroy all copies.
Who owns what
- 6.1The intellectual property in the software and documentation stays with Struct4U or its licensors. You receive only the rights of use that are expressly granted.
- 6.2Keep the software confidential and don’t give it to third parties.
- 6.4–6.5Don’t bypass its technical protection. You may keep one backup copy.
Warranty and new versions
- 22For three months after delivery, Struct4U does its best to correct errors you report in writing. There is no guarantee that the software works without interruption or errors.
- 23Three months after an improved version is available, Struct4U no longer has to correct errors in, or support, the old version.
Support and new versions are included with every licence and with pay-per-use.
What each type of licence allows
The terms leave the number of users and computers to what was agreed. The price list of October 2026 sets it for each type of licence:
| Pay-per-use | Prepaid credit that never expires and that any number of people can use at the same time. Every feature is included, Premium ones too. Billed per minute, at most €4,000 per computer per calendar year. |
|---|---|
| Single user | One user, per year. Install it on up to two workstations, but don’t use it on both at the same time. |
| Network | A number of people calculating at the same time, per year. Install it on as many workstations as you like. |
| Student | Free for one year, for students of a university or technical college we know. Non-commercial use only; output carries a watermark. |
Prices, and what each tier includes, are on the pricing page.
