Together in the Flow

What an amazing performance by Nillessen! Yesterday, he pulled off a surprise victory, winning gold in the 1,500-meter race at the European Athletics Championships. In the final 100 meters, he seemed to fly past his competitors. With conviction, he shouted, "Let’s go!" And that’s exactly what he did.

An incredibly impressive performance, but also a huge upset.

And to be honest: at Struct4U, we’re feeling that same flow.

Things are moving fast for us right now, too. We’re making great leaps in developing our applications, adding more and more functionality, and listening very closely to what you, our users, need.

We haven’t been sitting still. On the contrary. Many new features have been added, existing components have been improved, and various programs have become faster, more user-friendly, and more future-proof.

But… we’re far from done. In fact, we’ve only just begun.

Here’s an overview of the most important improvements and new features since last October:

  • All programs: ability to export directly to MS Word.
  • All programs: fully compatible with .NET 10 and thus ready for the future.
  • All programs: support for the latest NAD for the Eurocode for concrete.

XFEM4U

  • New and improved startup screen.
  • Lightning-fast generation of views. This allows you to create a complete output, including images, much faster.
  • Faster and easier entry of beam loads on a per-beam basis.
  • Excel integration, allowing all tables to be exported and imported.
  • Export to TEKLA.
  • Export to IFC for use in BIM models.
  • Fire resistance analysis for steel.

XFrame2D

  • New and improved startup screen.
  • A completely new solver for faster and more robust calculations.
  • Fire resistance analysis for steel.

XBeam2D

  • New and improved startup screen.
  • A completely new solver for faster and more robust calculations.
  • Checkerboard loading.
  • Fire resistance analysis for steel.

XConstruct

  • New steel module: Shear connections.
  • New steel module: Fire resistance.
  • New wood module: Column calculation.
  • Pile module: ability to enter and adjust soil profiles.

Struct4U will be adjusting its prices as of October 1.

Pay Per Use:

Pay Per Use rates table with Dutch labels: 2D programs € 12 per hour, XFEM4U € 15 per hour, premium functions (n calls) € 15

Annual license:

Annual license prices for Basic 2D, Advanced 2D+3D and Premium 2D+3D as single-user and network license, with Dutch labels

Basic 2D:

  • XConstruct, XBeam2D, XFrame2D en XSpreadsheet.

Advanced 2D+3D has the following additional features compared to Basic 2D:

  • XFEM4U

Premium 2D+3D has the following additional features compared to Advanced 2D+3D:

  • Export to DXF: Additional reinforcement, stirrups, and pile positions of a beam grid can be exported to DXF.
  • Import from TEKLA: Models can be exported from Tekla via XML and then imported into XFEM4U.
  • Export to IDEA StatiCa: From XFEM4U, the geometry and internal forces can be exported to IDEA StatiCa
  • Parametric modeling with Python. (The option of parametric input with Excel is included in the Basic package)

As you can see, Struct4U is constantly evolving and working hard (often behind the scenes, unseen by you). New features are being added at a rapid pace, in addition to all the refinements and improvements we are making.

Struct4U uses the latest state-of-the-art development techniques. And that is precisely what makes this rapid development possible.

We’re bursting with ideas and ambitions. At the same time, we don’t decide on our own where we’re headed. It’s your questions, comments, and ideas that are a key driving force behind our development. You tell us where things can be done better, faster, easier, or smarter—and we then set to work on that.

Our ambition is therefore clear: to further increase the speed of development and continually expand the scope of our programs, so that eventually you’ll be able to calculate virtually any structure with Struct4U.

And why are we doing this?

It’s very simple: so that you, as a structural engineer, can do your work even better, faster, more efficiently, and—above all—with even more enjoyment.

So we say, just like Nillessen:

Let’s go!

We’re on our way. And we’re thrilled that you’re joining us.
