Field	Description
Steel grade	Steel grade of the weakest connected part
L	Length of the welded part, or the length of the weld, in mm
b	Thickness of the welded part in mm
a	Applied throat thickness in mm
	Design the throat thickness from the entered forces
Long joint	Not applicable / Lapped joint / Fillet welds connecting transverse stiffeners in plate girders. This reduces the effective weld length according to art. 4.11
