There is new releases available of
XConstruct 2026.1 download release notes
The most important new features:
1. New Pile Bearing Capacity
Many customers have asked us to develop a program to calculate the bearing capacity of any foundation pile. And we have now realized that.
In XConstruct, the new module Pile Bearing Capacity has been added.

Based on a Cone Penetration Test (CPT) or multiple CPTs you can quickly and very easily calculate the bearing capacity of a compression pile.
- Calculation based on the Eurocode 7 EN 1997-1
- CPT can be read in as GEF-file.
- With the built-in "Digitizer" you can also quickly and easily digitize a CPT when you do not have a GEF file(s).
- Concrete piles, steel piles and wooden piles are provided.
- Piles with a weighted base are provided.
- Intuitive user interface where you can graphically "drag and drop" all levels such as pile tip level or water level, but you can also enter your levels numerical.
- Net decisive pile bearing capacity over multiple CPT's with a coefficient of variation test of 12%.
- Bearing capacity over a trajectory including graphic representation.
- Settlement calculation and load-sag diagram per CPT.
- Settlement calculation pile group.
- Elastic pile shortening.
- Spring value of the pile. With a lower and upper limit.
- The output is transparent and readable as of course you have long been accustomed to from us.

And do you want to see how easily you can digitize a CPT with that built-in "Digitizer"?
Tip: Furthermore, we refer you to the DINOloket. Here you can find probes for a large number of locations in the Netherlands. This can be useful when you don't have a CPT at all yet.

With this new module you can quickly design your foundation pile and calculate the pile bearing capacity but also the spring value. And that is of course super convenient when you need to design a beam grid. We plan to fully integrate this module into XFEM4U.

2. New Soil Old reinforcement diameters
In XConstruct it is now possible to enter the old reinforcement diameters Ø5.5, Ø7.5, Ø8.5, Ø9.5, Ø10.5, Ø11.5, Ø11, Ø13, Ø15, Ø19 and Ø28. This is of course useful if you want to test an existing construction. (help desk #2541).
It is now also possible to enter covers smaller than the minimum required cover. A checkbox "Diviant cover" has been added. By default, it is off. When the cover does not comply, a warning is now given instead of an error message. (help desk #2541)
3. New Timber: Purlins
It is possible to enter different variable loads so that a roof terrace or balcony can also be calculated. (help desk #2603 and #2691).
It is possible to enter deviating shape coefficient μ1 for snow so that snow accumulation can also be calculated. (help desk #2536)
4. New Your Masonary
For bricks, the brick grades fb=7 N/mm2, fb=18 N/mm2 , fb=21 N/mm2 and fb=24 N/mm2 have been added. This now allows walls of Poriso bricks to be tested. (help desk #2638)
