XFEM4U: a 3D steel hall with the load generator window, set to wind zone II, terrain category II and snow zone 3
FIG. 1The load generator in XFEM4U: wind to EN 1991-1-4 and snow to EN 1991-1-3 for a steel hall.

The main changes:

  • The American standard for steel structures, ANSI/AISC 360-16, has been implemented in XFEM4U.
  • Struct4U has a new logo, website and branding.
  • From now on you can easily request a free student version.
  • A new licence type has been added for medium to large enterprises: the network licence.
FIG. 2Two report pages. Left, a steel check to ANSI/AISC 360-16 with the Direct Analysis Method; right, a lateral-torsional buckling check with the critical moment from the Dutch national annex. Both show each formula with the values that go in.
XFrame2D 2023.1: a two-storey frame with the input window of beam 7, an HE 260 A
FIG. 3XFrame2D 2023.1: the input window of a beam, with options such as a tapered beam and an elastic foundation.
XFEM4U: the beam load window with a trapezoidal load of 3 to 8 kN/m over part of a beam
FIG. 4XFEM4U: a trapezoidal load over part of a beam.

You can find more information about the new features in the release notes of each program, listed in the changelog.

Sneak preview: we are currently implementing a unique high-precision method for calculating water accumulation in 3D.
